Appendicitis in children
Kids can get appendicitis, just like adults. Appendicitis is an infection or inflammation of your child's appendix.

- Most common in kids ages 10 to 18.
- An infected appendix needs quick treatment.
- Top reason for emergency belly surgery in kids.
Síntomas
Abdominal pain in the lower right belly is one of the main signs of appendicitis in kids.
Other appendicitis symptoms in kids may include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Fever
- Pain with movement
