California Children’s Services

California Children's Services (CCS) is a state program that helps kids under 21 with certain health problems or diseases. CCS connects children with doctors and a health care team that know how to help with special health care needs. If your child is in CCS, they will still be a Kern Family Health Care member.

The program provides health care, treatment and support for kids with certain health problems. These include cancer, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, hemophilia and heart problems.

The program also covers severe injuries and other severe health problems. CCS case managers can help your child get needed care. They can help with guiding you through the health care system. They can also help with forms and finding resources for parents and children.
