There are many ways to learn more about Kern Family Health Care (KFHC) and your health plan benefits. There may be benefits you can get that you are not aware of. You may also want to learn how to get the care that you need. There is a lot to learn about KFHC and your health plan.

Member information

KFHC Member Handbook. Your Member Handbook tells you about all of the benefits your health plan covers. It also explains what is covered by Medi-Cal and how you can get the care you need.

KFHC Provider Directory. Find out about the many health care providers, urgent care, and hospitals in the KFHC network and in your area. Learn how to read the symbols and codes so you can make a choice for the provider that is right for you.

Where to look

Your Member Portal. Log in or register for your secure Member Portal account. Your Member Portal has many pages where you can select a topic to learn about. Read or download your Member Handbook and use the online Provider Directory search.

The KFHC Website. Visit the KFHC website and click on "Members" to read or download your Member Handbook, and click on "Find a Provider" to use the Provider Directory search.

Hard copy (paper). Call Member Services at 1.800.391.2000 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to ask for a copy to be mailed to you.
