Fraud is when someone uses health care services the wrong way.
Member fraud includes:
- Using another person's KFHC member ID card
- Trying to get medicine a doctor did not order
- Using KFHC transportation for trips not covered by Medi-Cal
Provider fraud includes:
- Adding wrong information to medical records
- Billing for services that were not given
- Giving care that is not medically needed
