After January 1, 2022, pharmacy services are handled by Medi-Cal Rx (MCRx). Participating providers use a list of preferred medications when they write prescriptions. This preferred list is the Contract Drug List (CDL).
Although a medication is available on the CDL, it does not guarantee the physician will prescribe it. There are some limitations that may apply to the listed medications, such as the reason your doctor prescribed the medication, your age or other medical conditions you may have. Call MCRx Customer Service Center at 1.800.977.2273 if you have any questions regarding the CDL, participating pharmacy or any other pharmacy related question. You may also find answers to questions through the Beneficiary Portal if you created an account. This can be found at https://medi-calrx.dhcs.ca.gov/home/
